Ovieda and Orlando
Thursday morning found us on the road about 10 or 11 am. We got the call from Old School Phil that Sarasota was not open until three. So we agreed to meet at Ovieda around one and skate until three and try to make Sarasotta for a night session. We pulled into Ovieda about a little before one to see a empty park and OSP's diesel trailer rig set up in the parking lot. Phil is skating alone. We find out that this heated session goes until two thirty and we could skate for hour and a half for twelve dollars. They then clean for a half an hour and start again at three till six. We go get some food and get back for some quality lurking while the two girls ponder letting us in before we skate the hell out of their parking lot... Finally, 96 dollars later all eight of us our rolling around the park. The park does not dissapoint. We get it till six and agree that Orland until Ten is the call. Orlando was way more easier on the wallet. Five dollars got us into a real sick pool with a decent flow bowl. We hit this until we couldn't stand it and got a hotel room at the Travel Lodge right down town.
