Connecting the Dots....

The Artisan Skatepark Group have been busy over the last couple years. Doing exactly that, connecting the dots. NC, VA, and MD have all seen some love from the Artisan Family. As of the end of this summer 09 approaches Artisan now has seven completed skateparks and three starting during this fall. Not only Andy, but all crew members have built many other projects up and down the East Coast and all over the country. Working with Brad over at Pillar Skateparks has proven to be a killer collective of design and superior skatepark finish in some incredible new terrain all around the Mid Atlantic area. This past weekend I got invited to come hang with the newly regrouped Amped Riders Skateboard Team in Ocean City MD. Garry Moore "founder" gathered a few adaptive rippers together for a week of sun, surf, skate, boating, and just all around good times at the beach in MD. The main focus for skating there was Artisan's Ocean Pines Skatepark in the neighborhood there outside of OC. After skating there on Fri morn, I figured on Sun I would see if I could hit the newly finished Knotts Island NC park and make the ferry and help christen the Powell's Point bowl in Lower Currituck. That's three Artisan parks that were def do-able in a day. I could of easily added the new KDH park and prob made Manteo if the day was long and the knee was strong.... soon, real soon. Enjoy the pics, get out there and get some of this new crete, and if your town is considering a skatepark, You know what to do.... they got it covered.
