Weekends down here in NC have taken on a whole new personality over the last few months. On any givin Sat there could be up to thirty people skating any one of our fine roundwall facilities. The weekend of Feb 28th was like this. The day started at skatecamp at the YMCA Grindline park in Nags Head. Ashley Barnes donates her time there for the little guys and girls who may not get quality one on one riding when the normal sessions are going down. The camp is free and the kids seem to love it. Thank you again Ashley for doing this, Skylar really looks forward to this when he can make it. I took Skylar there at about 9:30 am. I even get to roll around with him which is real cool. Around ten Mikey Weeks joins Sam Buxton and a mellow session is going down. It was around eleven when I rolled out and went the whole mile away to pick up Jesse and Dirty at Jesse's house.

Jerky's Doo Doo
When I get there, Jesse is warming up in his driveway training ground. I got a couple of good pics of that smith stop which could be considered (next to the front side rock) the real reason this thousand pound shallow end tranny quarter pipe was built. Lets head on up the road with the rest of the crew....

Hooked Again!
We met everyone from VA, MD, PA, NC, NJ, and MA. The session was going down. Just about every session I have been a part of at this spot has been unreal. Almost like we are getting away with something, but legaly. Can't thank you enough for having us Mike. You're the man!

The Chief
The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow..... Everyone ended up at Wanchese. The session was full steam with everyone killing. I didn't get many shots due to battery issues but I got some contributions to get together and I'll try to get some video from this day soon. What a day huh? Hard to believe that there was just about nothing here not more than a year and a half ago and now you can't even decide where your gonna skate..... and here comes another Sat. See you out there.
