08/27/08: Things have been quite crazy since that last post back in LA. We made it home for a wedding, worked all week, packed up Fri and headed to Philly to go see Rancid and do some skating and pick up a boat in DC, and since then it's been lots of work, surf, a 13th birthday, and just all around not caring about internet posting. I have managed to take a few pictures along the way. I'll lay them all out and if you care, scroll down and enjoy them.

08/01: Me and Evan scoping out this labaryth of skatelite.

I managed about two lines in the 2 hrs I got to skate this thing. The stands filled up for our demo and the camera crews were all over it. We should of filmed the jumbo screen overlooking the entire thing and we could of had a video. Next time. The Adaptive skate jam was def fun, it seemed everyone liked it. Evan, Oscar, Aaron, myself and Mike Rogers skated as hard as we could and the crowd was behind us. Thats about all you could really ask for.

Kyle Berard was getting some lines

Another East Coast Brethren, Mike Peterson lipsliding the deep bowl.

Omar of course was on it.

Lots of heavy hitters there, this kid from Phoenix was relaxed and having fun. His name was Aaron "Jaws" Hamoki

The Adaptive Motorcross guys took the stage after we skated. These guys were ripping. Check out those seats for the parapalegeics.

Super rad to see these guys not taking no for an answer and having a place like the Xgames to do their thing in front of so many people.

Amy and Dan both helped announce the race and got some TV time. Good job guys. Thanks for all you do.

This was Thurs night as we watched Danny Way crush his chins and then come back and man handle his run on this monster of a creation. Thats Andy Mac there showing my buddy M Romeo just how high you can get from skateboarding....

Do the seats get any better than this? Skylar front and center in a packed Staple Center.

Time to............

We flew out of LA around 10 pm Fri eve. We made it back in Norfolk around 9:30 sat am and back down to the beach and into these suit rentals for my sister in laws wedding at 3. Great night, long flight......

Here is the bride and groom, Kristen and Tim Earls, Congrats!

09/08: The following weekend we gear the truck back up and head up the Eastern Shore to see my Dad in Hebron MD and eat some high dollar crabs. Good stuff. On our way to Philly to go see Rancid Sun night, we hit a few skate spots on Sat to help break up the day. Skylar right out of the car 11 am and into a nice rollin in Ridgley MD.

Skylar had no trouble with this little concrete mini. Back D

Couple of local guys were showing us what's possible in here. This guy's name was Matt I believe, he lived in a similar small town down the road about 5 miles.

This was Kavin, he had some frnt boards up this bank to rail along with other sickness.

We messed around with this weird wall before hitting the road north.

We made Maple Shade NJ late afternoon and met Brian Lathrop and his family for some skating before getting our cheese steak on for dinner.

Skylar carved around and got some grinds before getting us all in the fly out game. My knees were not thanking him....

Soon to be married in the Outer Banks in Oct, Scott and Chelsea Green met up with us and we hit a super secret warehouse facility deep in Philly somewhere....

I cut your arm off! Brian throwing it to some bricks.

Brian setup and got some great shots of Scott Green. He def got the MVP award at this spot. This is as tight as it looks.

Scott with some fly out love and a skinny lander. Both shots by Lathrop. thank you.

Some artsy "I suck at taking indoor skate shots so shoot random things...."

The Philly Skyline looked cool from the warehouse door.

Sunday we got up late and got caught by rain late morn and got rained out for FDR, no skateboarding. We hooked up with Outer Banks Friends Dirty and Cameron and went to the Mutter Museum. A really odd place with medical oddities from baby fetus' to Siamese twins in a jar. We saw Rancid that night play with Big D and the Kids Table. Skylar rocked out, Great show!

We got rolling early to make it to my buddy Bob's house. He lives on the Potomac in Mt Vernon in VA. He donated a Laser 2 to the sailing cause. Mostly because the river is so filled with hydrilla weed, he can't sail it there.

We loaded it up and got to visit with my old German Shepard Eli's son Woody, damn is he a monster!

8/15: After another week of work and skate camp for Skylar we finally get to go surfing at my beloved spot, The point, Buxton NC.

As you may of heard, due to a the negligence of the Park Service not setting up some kind of beach driving action plan, The National Audubon Society tried to and sorta succeeded in shutting down all access to all the points from Ocracoke Inlet to Oregon Inlet. This includes 4x4 and foot traffic. We surfed that wave in front of the truck for a minute, it was not as good as it looks, but you could not park and enjoy a more beautifull place on the planet. Farthest point east on the East Coast.

I got a text when I was in LA from my buddy Ashley telling me they had lifted the ban for the Cape Hatteras Point. Good thing since this is how this small beach community makes a living. Tourism and Fishing! Learn more here, and get active.

8/29: Spent the next week getting this boat rigged up, breaking things, and re-rigging. On the sound in front of my house.

14ft long with a 20 ft tall mast! Yup, it will go pretty fast. Thank you Bob. Now come sailing.

My sweet daughter Olivia is now a teenager! Happy 13th Liv!

What's next? Dogs and Cats living together....

Thanks for looking.
