It's time for Summer Xgames in the Staple Center downtown LA. This July 28th thru Aug 1st.

I was invited back to skate in the Super Park Adaptive Skate jam for the 3rd year in a row. Check out the invite list here but more importantly listed below is the Adaptive Jam list: The pics above show the insane bowl they are building for the event.

Trip is in the bag. We skated a few spots, saw some Xtreme royalty, and drove like 1,000 miles around the LA area.

below are some pictures to check out. Didn't get a whole lot of photos but the memories are in place none the less.

5:30 am lift off ORF Norfolk VA

Later around 2 pm we get our credentials.

Check out the top of the Mega

And were thinking about rolling in....

Made it out to Venice for a few hectic runs.

Caught the sunset at Marina Del Ray

Place looked like sailors paradise.

Next morning we made it to Venice again and scored some breakfast right on the boardwalk.

Dirty got his beer goggles on.

We posted up at the Juice House for a minute.

New issues of Juice. We skated the park for a quick minute....

And headed over for practice at the extreme park at the Staples Center.

The park was fast, big and open, and stuck you in the same lines allot.

Dads in pads getting rad.....

This was our roomer, Def Paul, couldn't of asked for a radder roommate. We had a blast with Paul. Check out some of Paul's footage here: No chain

Thurs night at Big Air finals. Won by Jake Brown.

Days kinda ran together. This was Sat morning. Culver City park .

Park was mostly a flat bank park with a few ledges, QP's and a big pool. Skylar getting his back D on.

Dirty front RnR, take notice of the smog cover, erhmmm, I mean "marine layer", this usually burned off about noon. made for some great cool mornings though.

Skylar got himself a new setup and took it to this hip Sat morn.

After a noon practice at Staples we headed over to San Pedro and skated Channel Street.

This park was full of kids, mostly on scooters, with a few local kids ripping. Dirty grinds exposed aggregate coping.

If the line to this thing doesn't kill you, the hole will. Dirt with his "I'm sick of waiting for scooter kids face" grinding the door.

Skylar got his and got some Tile.

We skated Lake forest Etnie's park as well. Me and Dirty both got hurt there, Skylar ripped the whole park. Got some vid later.

This is the after math of our jam on Sun. No pictures really, we warmed up, skated, people cheered. I then went over to an autograph signing at the Adaptive Action Sports booth. Was all very surreal. I signed tons of boards, glasses, cards, and even a playmate cooler.

Aaron Fotheringham is a legend and gets it done.

After that we it the Legends finals. Grosso at the Xgames? he killed it.

Legends, Lance Mountain, Cab, and Grosso during the final.

Cab flowed it with style.

Grosso was on it.

Chris Miller dominated style and power.

Miller, Tail slide to carve over that taco chip fiberglass thing.

Christian Hosio won the final.

We hit up a market down the street for a quick bite to eat.

Bacon wrapped hotdog's with peppers and what not. Skylar was stoked.

Here's our view from VIP staging area for the Park Finals. Go over here for more info on all that; they have a little piece with some killer pics.(Concrete Disciples) Dudes ripped and to me anyone that got to skate this thing were winners. Now tear it down and build something with less flat next year!

Parting shot:

Many thanks to all that supported helping me and my support get out there this year. Specially you Seth Levy! Adaptive Action Sports did a great job taking care of all the Adaptive athletes this year. We got tons of recognition and props every where we went. Thanks to ESPN for getting the rooms and though they will never read this, thanks to the Sheraton at LAX for looking the other way while we had a killer time in your hotel!

Over and out.

Now if you have been a fan of ECA in the past you know I've had some financial hardships. Stolen equipment, knee surgery, and the expenses of living in paradise have set me and my family back, and unfortunately for ECA that has also kept you the fans without many updates over the last couple of years due to no road trips. No big deal really for you, with the huge influx of photos now on Facebook there's plenty of new pics out there, but I'm not having much luck in raising the money to get tickets, and ground expenses for going out to the Xgames. So not to proud to beg, I'm listing a paypal link below to maybe get some donations.

Anything would help. 5, 10, 20 all donation receipts can be saved and used as tax deduction through Adaptive Action Sports non profit status. If you are a generous donator/sponsor, over 200 dollars Adaptive Action Sports has a tax donation receipt for the end of the year.

What's in it for you? If you have a business name you would like listed as a sponsor of an athlete participating that is in the Xgames (Rob Nelson) you will proudly be listed on the sponsor list for that rider, if you want to provide stickers, T-shirts, or the like they will be proudly displayed on board and helmet during the event. They will also be proudly displayed on any web blog's, features, and Facebook info. This is a huge event with millions of viewers. I surely can't promise any TV exposure for I do not believe we are slotted for a TV spot. But I'm all about helping your business the best I can get some interest.

The support that you have provided for ECA and myself over the last 5 years has been amazing. The sales of T-shirts, boards, and stickers have all provided you guys with as much coverage as I can provide for you for virtually no expense to many viewers. I hope with this small plea I can get some support to get out to this event that I enjoy skating in plus you guys can see some insider pics and stories.
